Elsa 3 Code Review: REQUEST_CHANGES + HIGH @ 461e1dc
Code Review, Round 1/4
Scope: .github/reviewers.md only (+3/-3). It marks Cursor Bugbot as live and advisory on elsa-core and adds Bugbot to the advisory rule.
Verified against #8598: cursor[bot] posted a review on head 050e4458 whose body starts with <!-- BUGBOT_REVIEW --> ("found no new issues") and offers @cursor review and bugbot run to trigger another review. That matches the new row's marker, trigger list and advisory wording. The note on telling Bugbot apart from cloud-agent cursor[bot] comments is accurate and useful.
Blocking
- B1. Bugbot's eligibility in the reviewer-selection rule is ambiguous. The Rules still say to request "at most one additional advisory reviewer (CodeRabbit or Copilot)", and the skip fallback says to request "the other one". Now that Bugbot is live and requestable, an agent reading this file can't tell whether Bugbot counts as its one additional pick, is an extra on top, or is off-limits. Agents read this file before opening every PR, so it has to be unambiguous. Greptile (P2) and CodeRabbit flagged the same gap. Pick one rule and state it:
- (a) Bugbot is one of the eligible picks: "(CodeRabbit, Copilot, or Bugbot on elsa-core)", and change the fallback to "another eligible reviewer"; or
- (b) Bugbot is an extra that doesn't count toward the limit, and say so in one sentence.
Non-blocking
- N1. The Rules still make Greptile 5/5 a hard merge gate, which no longer matches the current review policy. I agree with handling that in a separate follow-up rather than here.
Gate: CI was still running when I posted this (ubuntu-latest pending; no affected tests to run for a docs-only change). Greptile gave this head 4/5 because of B1.

Elsa 3 Code Review: APPROVE + HIGH @ 57802ac
Code Review, Round 2/4
Delta since 461e1dc: two lines in the reviewer-selection Rules of .github/reviewers.md.
- B1, fixed. The rule now names "CodeRabbit, Copilot, or Bugbot on elsa-core" as the one additional advisory pick. The fallback says "another eligible reviewer", which removes the old two-option "the other one" wording. That makes Bugbot's place under the limit unambiguous, and the CodeRabbit and Greptile threads on this are resolved.
- No other changes. The Bugbot row I checked in Round 1 is untouched.
Non-blocking (carried over)
- N1. The Greptile 5/5 hard-gate wording is still stale against the current policy. A separate follow-up is fine.
Gate: APPROVE + HIGH. This is docs-only, so it merges once CI (ubuntu-latest) is green on this head. Greptile was re-requested and still pending when I posted this; it's advisory, and the Round 1 score on the previous head was 4/5, solely for B1.
Cursor Bugbot is now enabled on elsa-core in mention-only mode. It's verified: a top-level
cursor reviewcomment on #8598 brought back acursor[bot]review with the<!-- BUGBOT_REVIEW -->marker about 3 minutes later (review). What changed in
.github/reviewers.md:cursor review(@cursor reviewandbugbot runalso work), advisory, and not enabled on elsa-studio or elsa-extensions. It also explains how to tell Bugbot apart from cloud-agentcursor[bot]comments.The merge gate itself isn't changed in this PR.
