Useful little nifty feature I just found out about by accident: Window Key + Home - leaves the current window focused, while minimizing all the other apps in the background, giving a chance to see the desktop (or concentrate on just one app, which was the intention I of the develops, or so I believe) while remaining in the window you're in. Repeating that key combination will return everything back to it's place.
