Cybernetic Avatar Platform (CAPF) — A web platform for operating robots and cybernetic avatars remotely. Built under Japan's Moonshot R&D Program. Runs on AWS. I write frontend (Vue, JavaScript), backend integration (WebSocket, WebRTC), and tooling around the platform.
CAPF ran at Osaka Expo 2025 in the "Future of Life" pavilion directed by Prof. Hiroshi Ishiguro. 10 teleoperated robots operating simultaneously, 9:00–20:00 daily, 184 consecutive days, 2,000+ hours of uptime.
Avatar movement — Training a model to make avatar motion look less robotic during teleoperation.
Object detection — Integrated YOLO + OpenCV into the avatar's live camera feed so the system can detect objects in real time and assist the operator.
Research — Writing a paper on sense of agency in teleoperated avatars.
Received ATR's Excellent Research Award (FY2025), 1 of 17 selected from the project team.
- Sourcerers — Built React and Node.js applications. Serverless backend.
- Higia Health Technology — Worked on a medical image viewer built on top of OHIF (open source). React + Django. Browser-based diagnostic tool used in clinical environments. Contributed to frontend and backend across the stack. TDD.
