## Initial Steering Committee (iSC)
In February 2025, an Initial Steering Committee for EasyBuild was formed,
who worked towards proper governance for EasyBuild.

The main reposibility of the Initial Steering Committee is to come up with a proper governance structure for EasyBuild,
beyond the [BDFL](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benevolent_dictator_for_life) + [do-ocray](https://communitywiki.org/wiki/DoOcracy) model
that has been used since EasyBuild was made publicly available as open source software in 2012.
