Your phone makes it easier

Keep a backup of your car's shortcuts on your phone, edit them comfortably, then send them back by QR. No backup code or link to type.

Save your car's shortcuts on your phone

  1. Car: open Settings → Backups → Phone → Send.
  2. Phone: scan the QR code and open it in your usual browser.
  3. Phone: tap Add. The backup is saved on your phone and your backup library opens.
  4. To use or edit those shortcuts on your phone, tap Restore for the received backup. You can now add services, organize categories and arrange your favorites.

Send your shortcuts back to the car

  1. Prepare your shortcuts in EvPortal on your phone.
  2. Car: open Settings → Backups → Phone → Receive.
  3. Phone: scan the QR with the same browser you used to prepare your shortcuts, then tap Send my shortcuts.
  4. Car: tap Add, then Restore for the received backup to use it on the screen.

You can also use Choose a backup to send a saved copy instead of your current shortcuts.

Add saves a backup. Restore applies it. Receiving a backup alone leaves the current shortcuts unchanged. This is a transfer you choose to make, not automatic synchronization. Keep the QR open until the transfer finishes; it expires after five minutes. Both devices need Internet access, but they do not need the same Wi-Fi network.

Make the screen yours

EvPortal interface with example favorites

Actual interface captured in a desktop browser, with example favorites.

Want to… Where to go
Add or remove a service Open +, browse or search the catalogue, then tap Add or Remove.
Create your own shortcut Open + → Create a shortcut and enter its name and address.
Arrange shortcuts Open a category or Favorites, tap Edit, drag the shortcuts, then tap Done.
Organize categories Create up to five personal categories from +, and choose their icons.
Start with your favorites Enable Settings → Home → Open on my favorites.
Adjust the display In Settings → Appearance, choose Standard / Small and turn Show names on or off.
Switch dark or light Use the theme button at the top of the screen.

All puts your most-opened shortcuts first. See the compact view without names. Display size, shortcut names and home-screen choices stay specific to each device, even after restoring a backup.

Find and manage your backups

Open Settings → Backups → My backups → Restore to choose a saved configuration. The bin removes a backup from your list without changing your current shortcuts. Settings → More options → Undo the last restore lets you return to your previous configuration.

Prefer a code or link? Use Settings → Backups → Code or link → Create, then Add on the receiving device. You can also save or add a JSON backup file through the backup options. Link backups are hosted on Telegra.ph and are public to anyone who has the address; QR transfers are encrypted.

Your shortcuts and saved copies stay in the browser where you use them. Keep a backup file before clearing browser data or changing devices. Read the user guide.

Available in eight languages

Choose your language in Settings, or open a guide:

🇮🇹 Italiano · 🇷🇺 Русский · 🇸🇦 العربية · 🇵🇹 Português

Use entertainment while parked. Fullscreen, sign-in and playback depend on your vehicle's software and the service you open. EvPortal is free and independent; it is not affiliated with Tesla or the listed services.
