An open-source incentive program from 0G for builders, dedicated to supporting and advancing non-profit and open-source projects in the 0G ecosystem — with a focus on open-source projects, 0G ecosystem middleware, non-profit initiatives, and developer tools.
This repository contains no code. It operates as a contribution registry: participants submit a PR that creates their own folder with a
README.mdunder the corresponding directory to register their contributions.
- Attract developers to participate in building the 0G ecosystem
- Grow the ecosystem's open-source infrastructure: middleware, developer tools, SDKs, and other public goods
- Encourage builders to keep building long-term and help them earn support from the 0G ecosystem
- Give back to the community with high-quality, high-impact projects, tools, and technical content
- Encourage more ecosystem projects to invest resources, helping the 0G community become self-organizing and self-sustaining

| Track | Directory | Target Group | Evaluation Criteria |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ecosystem Open-Source Contribution | contributions/ |
Developers making substantial contributions to the 0G ecosystem | XP = Effort × Value/Impact/Quality |
| Long-Term Building | projects/ |
Teams actively building projects (hackathon participants prioritized) | Potential value + quarterly progress + community impact |
- The program provides a quarterly 0G Bounty Pool
- Rewards follow a retroactive model: contributions are tallied each quarter, and bounty amounts depend on overall participation
- Starring fellow builders' work is encouraged; contributions are reviewed based on value and community impact, with results published to the community
- The program runs as a one-quarter pilot; continuation will be decided based on its impact
How to participate:
- Create a new folder under
contributions/with aREADME.mdinside (seecontributions/python cookbook/example.md), including:- Contribution repository link
- Contribution overview
- Contribution PR link
- Contributor contact
- Region
- Also fill in the 0G Talent Registry form: 👉 XXXXXX
Scope:
- Contributions to open-source, public-good repositories in the 0G ecosystem — middleware, developer tools, SDKs, libraries, and ecosystem course/content repositories
Reward evaluation:
XP is tallied per contributor; higher XP correlates with a larger reward. A 0G Tech Leaderboard is published each quarter to help promote top contributors.
XP = Effort × Value/Impact/Quality
- Effort: determined by the complexity of the contribution, as judged by a technical expert panel
- Value/Impact/Quality (1–3): a combined score based on the contribution's value, impact metrics such as stars/forks, and overall quality
- 3 — Widely recognized by the 0G technical community; high value to the 0G ecosystem
- 2 — Meaningful value with potential for adoption by the 0G developer community
- 1 — Encouragement for participating in open-source ecosystem building
Resource support:
- 0G-Mini-Grant support
- Direct referrals to job opportunities at core/high-potential 0G ecosystem projects
- Opportunity to receive a recommendation letter from the 0G Foundation
- Priority recommendation to 0G Apollo, the AI Accelerator
- Priority placement in the 0G talent pool
- Promotion via 0G official channels to help build your project's or your personal brand
How to participate:
- Build continuously for at least 3 months within the statistical quarter
- Create a new folder under
projects/with aREADME.mdinside (seeprojects/0g-kit/example.md), including:- Project name
- Project overview
- Contact information
- Community impact
- Quarterly milestones
- Ecosystem value
- Ongoing commit records
- Also fill in the 0G Ecosystem Project Registry form: 👉 XXXXX
Scope:
- Priority support for open-source projects, 0G ecosystem middleware, non-profit projects, and developer tools
- Priority support for projects that participated in a 0G Hackathon
- New builders are especially encouraged to participate
- Projects must make a substantial contribution and positive impact on the 0G ecosystem
Reward evaluation:
- The top 10 projects are selected based on potential value, quarterly progress, and community impact; a 0G Rising BUIDL Leaderboard is published each quarter to help promote them
Resource support:
- 0G-Mini-Grant support
- Direct referrals to the 0G incubator, with funding support from the 0G Foundation
