Power Menu

A GNOME Shell extension that adds a power button to the top panel. Clicking it opens a full-screen menu — with a blurred background — for quickly powering off, restarting, suspending, locking, or logging out.

Features

  • One click, no sub-menu. A single power icon in the top panel opens a full-screen overlay directly — no nested menu to dig through.
  • Five actions: Power Off, Restart, Suspend, Lock, and Log Out.
  • Skips the extra confirmation dialog - still respecting real inhibitors (e.g. unsaved documents).
  • Keyboard-friendly: arrow keys move focus between actions, Enter/Space activates the focused one, Escape closes the menu.
  • Click anywhere outside the buttons to dismiss.
  • Uses GNOME Shell's own translations so it follows your system language.

Requirements

  • GNOME Shell 48, 49, 50, tested on 51.beta
