What's Distance?

Your favorite remote desktop's favorite remote desktop. Or, more accurately, web-first remote desktop that lets you stream a desktop from one machine to another.

Repo Overview

  • captured - A simple interface for capturing display out on any operating system really really fast.
  • agent - the Distance agent, making it easy to stream audio and video from any backend (captured, sunshine hosts, your least favorite display protocol ever) to the client.
  • client - A web-based plane for connecting to machines over WebSocket and WebTransport (we don't like WebRTC around these parts)
  • (soon) relay - A gateway for managing every type of desktop protocol through multiple clients; RDP, VNC, Sunshine, Distance Agents, etc...
