Accidentally pressing `Alt` when trying `Alt+shift` languge switch steals focus to menu

• Delta Chat Version: 2.53.0 flathub
• Expected behavior:
  • Ability disable shortcut Alt menu for NOT lost focus from typing dialog switching.

• Actual behavior:
  • When you try change language (alt+shift) focus lost and window menu activated.
• Steps to reproduce the problem:
  • Start typing message
  • Press Alt+Shift
  • Focus switch to window menu (sometimes) and you can't continue typing

I tried to reproduce this but couldn't. Alt only triggers a focus on the menu if it is released wit no other key pressed at the same time. Alt+Shift does not switch focus away from input.

note: I tested on Ubuntu 24 KDE but don't expect that makes a difference here

I think this is the point. Sometimes you mess up the shortcut execution and then the focus gets stuck on the menu until you press Escape or Alt again.

Yes, I tried to reproduce this consistently. And cannot. But when this happenning accidentally this very annoyed. Otherwise, I wouldn't have created a ticket.

To clarify: this issue is not a bug per se, and is not specific to Delta Chat. For example, the same thing happens on Firefox, where the menu opens on Alt. On Chromium there is no such menu and it's not affected.

Likely can be solved by us removing the menu (if it can be done without breaking the Ctrl + C and such shortcuts).
