Change default subsection display mode

Before the subsection display mode recently got introduced the subsections were displayed in what is now labelled summary mode. However, existing courses now show all subsections in list mode unless you manually go into each subsection and change its display mode back to summary. This is very tedious. It would be great if there was

• a setting in the course settings page that allows you to pick the default display mode for subsections in this course and
• a way to change the display mode for all subsections of a course in one go (similar to what has been suggested in Feature request: Default styles / apply styles to other tabs #248
  for styles).

Hi @t-schroeder

I added the option at the site level in the last release. I don't want the course to have too many settings to avoid making it more complicated. I'll ask questions to see if it's truly very useful before adding it at the course level.
