v 2.0.0 – 23Q4

This is a major overhaul of many parts of the code. While we tried to keep everything compatible with the last release, this is not guaranteed.

DEPRECATION NOTICE

During the upcoming releases, native METS support will be dropped and only our own wdbmeta.xml will be used for project meta data. We will provide a basic transformation of these data to some dialect of METS without any warranty of this being able to support any round-trip METS → wdb → METS or wdb → METS → wdb.
