User should be able to verify by search features that a potential new encampment is not already in the system/registered yet. Once this has been verified, user can go back to the encampment main page and fill out the survey for New Encampments. Users may not be allowed to enter a new encampment into the the database, so information on new encampments might need to be reviewed by an admin before entering it into a database. For this specific case, information from this section should be saved in a different database than CTA's HMIS.

* The user will be prompted to search for an existing encampment or create a new one * If the user is doing a site visit he/she will go to the search feature and 1) search by proximity Search by proximity will show a map and list of nearby encampments. User can tap on the encampment in question and record the site visit 2) search by code Search by code can be done if the user already had the code of the encampment they are visiting. If the user has a partial code, a list of potential matches will drop-down and user can tap on correct one to record site visit. * If user needs to record a new site visit then s/he needs to verify the new encampment is not already registered by using the search by proximity feature.

Tally sheets and a survey are used to do Point in Time counts of homeless people. The Tally sheet is located in the PIT menu of the app and the Survey for PIT will be listed under "Surveys" menu. Information - including pictures - saved in the tablet or phone needs to be encrypted.
