Description

This PR prepares the v0.1.0 release for dart_valkey, modernizing the entire codebase with modern Dart 3.13 features, cleaner architecture, enhanced error reporting, and complete documentation.

Summary of Changes

  • Dart 3.13 & Dependency Upgrades:
    • Upgraded Dart SDK constraint to >=3.13.0 <4.0.0.
    • Updated dev dependencies (coolint: ^3.0.0, meta: ^1.19.0, mockito: ^5.8.1, test: ^1.32.0, coverage: ^1.15.1).
    • Resolved 100+ linter warnings and enforced strict typing rules.
  • Primary Constructors (Dart 3.13):
    • Migrated 70+ command classes and models (PubSubMessage) to Primary Constructors (final class GetCommand(final String key) ...), removing nearly 1,000 lines of boilerplate.
  • Response Parsing Mixins:
    • Refactored command responses to use reusable base mixins (OkStringResponse, OkBoolResponse, ExpectOkBoolResponse, PongBoolResponse, ResetStringResponse).
    • Replaced minified runtimeType in error messages with human-readable commandName extracted from commandParts.
  • Documentation & Publishing:
    • Updated README.md with TLS configuration, self-signed certificate handling (onBadCertificate), client options, and custom commands.
    • Added .pubignore to exclude benchmark/ and coverage/ from published packages on pub.dev.
    • Updated CHANGELOG.md with 0.1.0 release notes.

Verification

  • dart format . applied.
  • dart analyze: 0 issues found.
  • dart test -x integration: 712 / 712 tests passing.
  • dart pub publish --dry-run: 0 warnings.
