The Center for Micro-Entrepreneurial Training (CMET)

Preparing entrepreneurs for business success — from launch to generational legacy.

Our Mission

To prepare, connect, and support business clients for generational success.

At CMET, we believe entrepreneurship is more than a business path — it is a tool for reclaiming legacy, rewriting narratives, and rebuilding communities from the inside out. We don't just train entrepreneurs. We build changemakers.

Founded in 2020 in direct response to the disproportionate economic impact of COVID-19 on minority-owned businesses, CMET is a nonprofit training institute headquartered in Orlando, Florida, dedicated to equipping Black, Brown, and women entrepreneurs with the knowledge, resources, and networks to start, grow, or acquire sustainable businesses.

Our Vision

Enhancing the talent, skills, and knowledge of innovators, entrepreneurs, and business owners to impact every community in the United States for generations.

Our Values

We value every human being who strives to build a better world through business creation — with integrity, respect, accountability, social responsibility, diversity, and inclusion.

What We Do

CMET delivers a comprehensive ecosystem of programs and services that support entrepreneurs at every stage — from starting and acquiring a business to scaling growth — through education, community, and ongoing strategic support.

Programs

Program Description
Entrepreneur Business Accelerator (EBA) A results-driven, five-day intensive that equips entrepreneurs with strategy, structure, and accountability to build profitable, scalable businesses
Growth Business Accelerator (GBA) A performance-focused program for established owners ready to optimize operations and expand with intention
Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) Prepares aspiring owners to identify, evaluate, and acquire existing businesses with confidence
The CMET Collective A curated membership community connecting entrepreneurs to peer support, expert guidance, and ongoing resources
The CMET Nation A vibrant entrepreneurial network uniting founders, alumni, and supporters around shared learning and collective economic empowerment

Five Pillars of Entrepreneurial Success

Every CMET program is rooted in five essential pillars:

  1. Business Planning — structuring ideas into viable business models
  2. Financial Literacy — understanding cash flow, budgeting, and capital readiness
  3. Target Audience Definition — identifying and reaching ideal customers
  4. Branding — establishing a compelling and credible market presence
  5. Marketing — building visibility, engagement, and consistent sales

Our Impact

  • 400+ entrepreneurs trained since inception
  • 289 Entrepreneur Business Accelerator graduates
  • 27 Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition graduates
  • Alumni have gone on to raise capital, hire staff, secure government contracts, and generate six- and seven-figure revenues

What's in This GitHub

CMET uses GitHub to publish open resources for entrepreneurs — curriculum frameworks, workshop packages, and tools that support our mission to democratize access to high-quality entrepreneurial training.
