Nord Lead has been cherry-picked onto master as standalone branch codex/nord-lead-release, with replacement draft PR #559. Only the original Nord Lead commit was carried across; #538/#539/#540 are no longer dependencies. The unchanged adaptation passes 24 tests on Python 3.12 against the current master harness. Further hardening will continue in #559; this original PR remains open for history until the replacement is ready.
