Purpose
Overskride is a modern GTK4/libadwaita Bluetooth manager built on BlueZ. It provides a clean graphical interface for discovering, pairing, connecting, disconnecting, and managing Bluetooth devices.
It is particularly useful on lightweight Wayland desktops and standalone window managers/compositors such as Hyprland, where users may not want to install a full desktop environment simply to get a modern Bluetooth settings interface.
Compared with Blueman, Overskride provides a more modern GTK4/libadwaita interface that integrates well with current GTK desktops while remaining focused specifically on Bluetooth management. It is a good option for users who want something more polished than command-line tools such as bluetoothctl, but don't need or want the additional components associated with a full desktop environment.
Providing the stable overskride package through Chaotic-AUR would also give users a prebuilt alternative to compiling it locally from the AUR, while avoiding the potentially less predictable development changes of a -git package.
