bootc-ubuntu-setup: start libvirt session daemon without idle timeout #262

Closed as not planned

Description

@cgwalters-bot

CI-side half of #257 (bootc-dev/bootc#1843): run the qemu:///session daemon for the whole job in bootc-dev/actions so its idle exit cannot race clients, including pinned bcvk releases. bcvk side: cgwalters-forge/bcvk#11

    Fork PR: cgwalters-forge/bootc-dev-actions#3 (rebased onto the bootc-host-setup refactor; connects once, then virt-admin daemon-timeout --timeout 0 on the session daemon). Proof: the same libvirtd survives 150s idle and bcvk libvirt list works on all three runners (https://github.com/cgwalters-forge/bootc-dev-actions/actions/runs/37006308270); without the virt-admin call the check fails everywhere (https://github.com/cgwalters-forge/bootc-dev-actions/actions/runs/37005682235). No overlap with cgwalters-forge/actions#6. RHEL (virtqemud under dbus-run-session) is left as is.

    Dropped by the operator on cgwalters-forge/bootc-dev-actions#3 (2026-10-02): "let's just get the bcvk released which fixes this then ensure we prioritize bumping to that version".
