General Info

This project is a web application designed to manage teacher information and lesson plans. It features a backend built with Node.js and MongoDB, providing RESTful APIs for data manipulation. The frontend is build using React.jsThe application allows users to create accounts, manage teacher data, and add lesson plans.

Technologies

This project is created using:

• MongoDB version: 8.0
• Express version: 10.9.0
• React.js version: 18.x (or your specific version)
• Node.js version: v22.11.0
• Vite version: 4.x (or your specific version)

Setup

To run this project, follow these steps:

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/yourusername/team-3.git
   cd team-3

2. Install the required dependencies: Navigate to the server directory and install the backend dependencies:

   cd server
   npm install

3. Navigate to the frontend directory and install the frontend dependencies:

   cd ../client
   npm install

4. Set up MongoDB: Ensure that you have MongoDB running locally on port 27017. You can start it using:

   mongod

5. Run the server: In the server directory, start the Node.js server:

   node server.js

6. Run the client: In the client directory, start the React application:

   npm run dev

7. Access the application: Open your web browser and go to http://localhost:8080 to view the application.

Note

Ensure you have Node.js, npm, and MongoDB installed on your machine before setting up the project.
