Closing: restoring the pre-fix handler makes the isolated mandate callback E2E test fail, reproducing the customer issue. The fix will ship as part of the 1.6.3 release package instead. |

Restores master to the code shipped in the already-published 1.6.2 WordPress.org release. The mandate callback hardening and its regression tests will be delivered immediately afterwards in the dedicated 1.6.3 release PR (#82).
