The phrasing was intended to mean: [there exists] a solution... [which] will satisfy... if and only if the minimal solution exhibited above does. I regret if it was confusing. Would the 3 extra words have helped you? |

Yeah, It would definitely help. Usually phrase like " a solution ..." means for arbitrary solution: ... |

And also I noticed a typo on page 23. I think a delta is missing. |

There was a mistake in FAR section
It should say just "only if" not "if and only if". Firstly, there is no proof of it. Secondly, one can easily see that statement with if is wrong because if we take TM such that minimal solution satisfies 6.8' and each row of R0 has at least one 1, we can take a = 1 (vector consisting of ones), then (R0, R1, a) is also a solution for 6.2' - 6.7' but 6.8' rejects vector a.
I only deleted 'if and' from file.
