Summary

This PR refines the default Waybar and Ghostty configuration to improve the overall desktop experience while preserving existing functionality.

Waybar

  • Improved spacing and padding
  • Refined glassmorphism styling
  • Better workspace highlighting
  • Improved hover effects
  • Improved visual hierarchy and readability

Ghostty

  • Small quality-of-life configuration improvements
  • Improved default font sizing
  • Better padding and readability
  • Minor usability refinements

These changes are purely configuration/UI improvements and do not introduce new dependencies or change existing functionality.

In the current development version, Quattro no longer uses Waybar and has moved to a Quickshell-based panel.

Good point! I removed the numbers as part of the visual redesign to make the workspace indicator more minimal, but I can see how they're useful for quickly identifying workspaces. Happy to bring them back if the maintainers think that's the better default.

Thanks for letting me know! I wasn't aware the panel had already migrated. If there's interest, I'd be happy to adapt these visual ideas to the new Quickshell panel instead.

I would suggest to ping DHH or some of the other main contributors and ask what's possible to configure in the new panel.

It would be much better to offer this as part of a theme. I would be very surprised if you get this accepted as the default look.

Also, I think you should work a bit more on the spacing between the icons. It is uneven.
