Spectrle is a free daily puzzle where you guess a movie from its color spectrum: the whole film sampled, compressed, and rendered as a radial gradient. Five guesses; each miss adds a clue and redraws the spectrum from fewer, wider frames until it resolves into recognizable stills. Filed under Movies/TV alongside Framed and CineNerdle. It also has a daily video game puzzle, but the list keeps one entry per game, so the Video Games mode is mentioned in the description instead. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The whole film gets sampled, compressed, and rendered as a radial gradient a kind of color fingerprint of the entire runtime. You get five guesses, and each miss adds a text clue and redraws the spectrum from fewer, wider frames, so it starts as pure abstract color and gradually resolves into recognizable stills.
