An interactive Tableau dashboard analyzing hiring trends, coursework impact, and employment outcomes for UIUC graduate students. Built for data warehousing and business intelligence analysis.
This project builds a dimensional data warehouse from synthesized graduate hiring data and creates interactive dashboards to analyze:
- Geographic distribution of graduate employment.
- Correlation between GPA, coursework selections, and starting compensation.
- Factor analysis associated with employment outcomes.
Synthesized dataset modeled after graduate career outcome records. Includes attributes for job roles, annual compensation, GPA, course electives, hiring locations, and employment status across graduating cohorts.
- Higher GPA correlates with increased annual starting income across departments.
- Technical and analytical coursework correlates with higher offer volume.
- Employment distribution concentrates in major metropolitan areas (Chicago, Washington D.C., Los Angeles).
- Unemployed outcomes show lower completion rates of technical electives.
