Validation branch — DO NOT MERGE (delete after). Same head-pin placement as the repro PR, WITH the pydantic 2.9.2→2.12.4 fix (from #918). Expected: PASS — proving the fix resolves the MCP-500 skew. The real fix ships as #918 + #908; this just proves it in CI.
