How does custom_var_printers should work?

Here is the simple code copy from examples:

Hi, how do you run this script? I'm really interested since it's a second report so far. And I can't replicate it. I just tested it by copying the code in temp.py and running "python3 temp.py". It ran OK, giving me a colored traceback (although without variables as print_exc was at the same frame as the raise, it seems I overoptimized settings for default exception handler)
