🟨 Ref for Sale 🟥

The beautiful game has never been this ugly.

Ref for Sale is a chaotic, cartoonish comedy game where you play as a bought referee. Before every match, a shady team slips cash into your pocket — and now you have to complete secret corrupt objectives to tilt the game in their favor... without the crowd catching on.

Think Goat Simulator meets Untitled Goose Game, but with a whistle, a red card, and zero morals.

🎮 Core Concept

You are the most important person on the pitch — and the most corrupt. Each match hands you a set of secret missions from the team that paid you:

  • 🟥 Hand out unjustified cards to slow down the opposing team.
  • 🙈 Ignore obvious fouls committed by your sponsor team.
  • ⚽ Whistle phantom penalties out of thin air.
  • 🤸 "Accidentally" trip over yourself to interrupt a dangerous play.
  • 🤯 Make absurd calls that completely change the flow of the match.

Everything is exaggerated, slapstick, and harmless — pure cartoon chaos.

🧩 Game Mechanics

📊 Corruption Meter

Every shady call fills your Corruption Meter. Push it too far and the crowd starts to notice: boos, chants, flying confetti... and eventually a full-blown scandal that ends your career (and the run).

💸 Bribery Pressure

The team that bought you doesn't sit quietly. They send you increasingly desperate messages mid-match:

"DO SOMETHING!" — anonymous benefactor, minute 73

Ignore them too long and the bribe money starts shrinking.

🎭 Dynamic Chaos

Players dive theatrically, argue with you nose-to-nose, fake injuries with Oscar-worthy performances, and swarm you after every call. The pitch is a circus and you are the (crooked) ringmaster.

🎲 Random Events

  • 📺 The VAR "breaks down" at the most convenient moment.
  • 🎊 The crowd showers you with confetti (and worse).
  • 😉 The coach winks at you every time you make a corrupt call.

🎯 Missions

Each match comes with objectives like:

Mission Example
⏱️ Time denial "Make sure Team A doesn't score in the first 20 minutes."
🟥 Targeted ejection "Get the rival striker sent off."
👻 Phantom penalty "Award a ghost penalty before minute 60."

Complete missions → earn dirty money → upgrade your Corrupt Referee Kit (faster whistle, more convincing trip animations, VAR sabotage remote, sunglasses that hide your guilt...).

🎨 Visual Style

  • Cartoonish, exaggerated characters
  • Over-the-top animations and physical comedy
  • Absurd humor — nothing violent or harmful, just comic chaos
