This repository is retired. The patcher has moved.
Add display widgets (numeric lives counter, current loop/stage) to Gradius III Arcade (Japan), plus a pause feature, a skippable ending, and a fix for a lockup present in the original ROM.
The patcher now runs in your browser. There is nothing to install, no assembler to download, and nothing is uploaded anywhere — your ROM files are read and written locally by the page itself. It detects which revision you have automatically.
Everything you need is on that page: which MAME romset to deploy as, the
expected WRONG CHECKSUMS warning, PCB and EPROM notes, the full changelog and
the licence.
What was here: the last version published in this repository was v1.81 (June 2025), patched with a Windows batch file and a user-supplied assembler. That route is no longer maintained. The current release is v2.1 and is available only at the link above.
ROM images are not distributed here and never were.
