Hi there 👋, I am Ali (short for Aliakbar Akbaritabar)!

  • I’m currently working as an Assistant Professor of Computational Social Science at the University of Rostock, and as Research Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research on themes related (but not limited) to science of science, social networks, collaboration networks, and of course computational social science.
  • I never get tired of learning!
  • I’m looking to collaborate on research ideas close to above themes, using computational tools and techniques to answer social scientific questions.
  • How to reach me: Twitter: @akbaritabar, BlueSky: @akbaritabar.bsky.social; @Akbaritabar@mastodon.social or email!
  • Pronouns: he/him
