esp32-nut is an open-source firmware that turns an ESP32-S3 into a standalone Network UPS Tools (NUT) server.

It leverages the native USB OTG Host capabilities of the ESP32-S3 to read HID data directly from a USB UPS (e.g., CyberPower, Eaton, APC) and exposes it over Wi-Fi. This allows users to monitor their UPS directly from systems like Home Assistant or any standard NUT client, without requiring a Raspberry Pi or other intermediate hardware.

I believe it's a great fit for the "Smart Home and IOT" section as it solves a very common homelab/automation problem using purely an ESP microcontroller.
