I'm a recently graduated doctor (MBBS, Sudan University of Science and Technology, 2026) who spent the last three years at the intersection of medicine and data science. I analyse clinical research data, build tools that solve real organisational problems, and am currently developing an independent research project on AI diagnostic tools for African neuroimaging data.
I believe the most important problems in healthcare aren't solved by more technology — they're solved by people who understand both the clinical reality and the technical tools. That's the gap I'm trying to occupy.

I completed my medical degree in Sudan while the country navigated four consecutive national disruptions: the 2019 revolution, COVID-19, a six-month faculty strike, and an ongoing armed conflict since April 2023. During those years I led the university's medical students' association as Secretary General and later as President (800+ students), built organisational software from scratch, and delivered 25 research data analysis projects for clients across Sudan while supporting my family through displacement.
I am currently building an independent research project on AI diagnostic tools for African neuroimaging data — a gap that is documented in the literature but almost entirely unaddressed. My background as a clinician who has worked in Sudan's health system gives me a perspective on this problem that purely computational researchers don't have.
