Build

The app builds on GitHub Actions automatically on every push to main (.github/workflows/android.yml). It produces:

• ClipSave-debug — installable ABI-specific debug APKs.
• ClipSave-release — optimized ABI-specific APKs, signed when keystore secrets are configured.

Choose the APK matching the device CPU:

• arm64-v8a — nearly all current Android phones and tablets.
• armeabi-v7a — older 32-bit Android devices.
• x86_64 — BlueStacks, modern Android emulators, and compatible ChromeOS devices.
• x86 — older 32-bit emulators and x86 devices.

Splitting by CPU keeps each install much smaller because it contains only one native Python/ffmpeg/aria2 stack instead of all four.

Requirements: JDK 17, Android SDK 36.

Publish a release

Create releases only from a clean, fully committed worktree. From the project root:

The script validates the version, increments versionCode, runs unit tests, lint, R8, resource shrinking, and all release builds, then creates the release commit and tag and pushes both atomically. Tagged GitHub releases fail closed unless KEYSTORE_BASE64, KEY_ALIAS, KEYSTORE_PASSWORD, and KEY_PASSWORD are all configured as repository secrets.
