Custom enterprise SharePoint on-premises to cloud migration tooling for Microsoft 365, SQL-backed document systems, file share repositories, backup validation, and governed cutovers.

Microsoft lists SharePoint Server 2016 and SharePoint Server 2019 as products reaching end of support on July 14, 2026. Microsoft states that after retirement or end of support, products no longer receive new security updates, non-security updates, assisted support options, or online technical content updates.

For enterprise organisations still running SharePoint on-premises, this is not just a version upgrade. It is a document, metadata, identity, compliance, backup, and business-continuity project.
SharePoint Migration Command is an Avalonia UI desktop application prototype for enterprise migration teams that need a custom migration control plane.
It is designed for environments where documents and metadata are spread across:
- SharePoint Server 2016 or SharePoint Server 2019 farms
- SQL Server content databases and custom integration databases
- SQL tables containing document IDs, metadata, retention flags, owners, workflow state, and storage paths
- File shares, mapped drives, or drive-backed document repositories
- Custom business systems that reference SharePoint documents by ID or path
- Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Entra ID target environments
- On-prem SharePoint estate discovery
- SQL metadata and document detail mapping
- Drive and UNC path document indexing
- Microsoft 365 target readiness planning
- Backup checkpoints before migration and cutover
- File hash and manifest validation
- Identity and permission mapping
- Metadata transformation rules
- Retention label and compliance planning
- Migration worker throttling and batch strategy
- Go / no-go validation gates
- Cutover evidence and audit package planning
Every enterprise SharePoint migration is different. Some organisations have clean libraries and standard metadata. Others have years of custom SQL integrations, document storage on network drives, business-critical workflows, legacy permissions, and compliance rules that cannot be lost.
This project is intended to help organisations discover the work involved and start a conversation about a custom migration tool or migration accelerator built around their environment.

This public repository is intentionally limited to product information, screenshots, the demo video, and enterprise enquiry materials.
The prototype source code is not published here. Enterprise migration implementations should be designed privately around each customer's environment, security requirements, data model, compliance controls, and cutover process.
This repository demonstrates the product direction, user experience, and enterprise migration workflows. Production integrations such as SQL Server discovery, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint APIs, file hashing, and persisted project storage can be implemented as private custom modules.
