Post-release review of docs/legality.html. Two corrections, no compliance content changed.

  • Dropped phrase. The "A copy, not a retransmission" pill in the mesh section read
"your over reaches your own GMRS stations exactly as far as your radio reaches" — a word
or two lost in an earlier edit. Restored to "your voice over the air reaches".
  • Reviewed date. The footer badge was moved to August 2026 in the v2.24.0 release commit,
but the disclaimer paragraph still said July. Both now say August, which is correct: the
#positions section was written after the July review.

What was checked and left alone

  • All five limits in "Why there is no APRS on GMRS here" — §§ 95.1731(d), 95.1787(a)(2)-(5),
    95.1773(c), 95.1751(b) — match the CFR text.
  • The Midland waiver note (DA 23-633, WT Docket 21-388, 24 July 2023) correctly describes it
as party-specific and stricter per burst than the rule it waives.
  • The rule-map rows covering the mesh bridge and GMRS digital data already account for the
    position sources as receive-only.
  • Sources list already links FCC 17-57 and DA 23-633.
  • Tag balance verified with a parser: no unclosed tags, no mismatches.

Timing

v2.24.0 is already tagged, so the tagged tree keeps the typo and the July date. Only the
Pages site is affected and it builds from master, so merging this fixes the published page.
No image rebuild is needed — docs/ is not in any container.

…gust

Two corrections found reviewing the page after v2.24.0:

- The "A copy, not a retransmission" pill read "your over reaches your own
GMRS stations" — a dropped phrase. Restored to "your voice over the air
  reaches".
- The disclaimer still said the page reflects guidance as of July 2026 while
the footer badge said August. The #positions section was added after the
July review, so August is the correct date in both places.

No compliance content changed. Every citation in the positions section and the
rule map was re-checked against the CFR text and both are accurate as written;
v2.24.0 altered no transmission behaviour, since all three position sources are
receive-only.
