Deployment

The first step would prepare a workspace to host the FAIR Data Cube. In our case, we obtain computing resources from SURF Research Cloud. A starting point is applying for an E-infra.

After that, the FAIR Data Cube can be deployed by following the instructions in Deployment

As illustrated in the architecture diagram, the FAIR Data Cube consists of FAIR Data Point(with Graphdb at backend), transformation services, and vantage 6. The several parts could be deployed in a containerized manner. The vantage 6 server is set up and run seperately. The vantage 6 node is set up and maintained at the dataset owner side for security reason.

Set up ISA Layer

The FAIR Data Point's metadata layers composed of five layers, namely, the FAIR Data Point itself, repository, catalog, dataset and distribution.
To be able to host ISA metadata, extra ISA definition of resources on FDP is needed.
