Adds docs/applications.html — a self-contained, English-language application outlook for QSSC, covering both halves of the device, with the project's corporate identity.

What's inside

Part I — Quantum sensing applications

  • 64-pixel vector magnetometry (4-axis NV⟨111⟩) → geology/archaeology, NDT, biomedical, materials
  • Tensor-gradient magnetic imaging + 3-D dipole localisation (Invention 19, uses the on-board gradient coil)
  • Navigation / geomagnetic compass (heading, elevation, µT sensitivity)
  • Rotation sensing (Ramsey π/2–T–π/2 gyro)
  • Thermal & contactless current sensing
  • Super-resolution & sub-pixel readout (compressed-sensing ODMR, Bayesian readout, N-shot lock-in, centroiding)

Part II — Quantum computation applications

  • Qiskit circuit execution (OpenQASM 2 / sandboxed Python — Bell, QFT, Grover, math, period, custom)
  • 64-parallel distributed computing (64 independent ~10-NV pixels, per-pixel calibration)
  • Quantum RNG → Ed25519 keys + certs and BB84 QKD
  • Tunable registers & nuclear-spin memory (¹³C, prime-coprime multiplexed readout)
  • Hybrid/QEC candidates: VQE/QAOA, QSVM, QEC code, Heisenberg-limited sensing

Plus a capability → application matrix and a "why practical here" section (room-temperature, single-chip, array-parallel, open-source, Qiskit-compatible, self-verifying).

Fidelity & honesty

  • Content is sourced from the project record (docs/INVENTIONS.md, README.md, docs/architecture/) — not invented.
  • Every capability carries its real status badge: SIM ✅ / needs-HW / needs-cryo / host-side, so the roadmap is honest about what runs today vs. what's a documented candidate.

Corporate identity

Matches the existing docs/protocol*.html design system: inline hBN-hexagon logo, cyan→indigo gradient (#22d3ee→#6366f1) on the #0b1020 dark theme, Space Grotesk / Inter / JetBrains Mono, a hero banner with a custom 64-pixel NV lattice illustration, capability cards, tables, and print/PDF styles.

Verified

html.parser → 0 nesting errors, lang="en", referenced favicon resolves, all sections present.

…mputation), corporate branded

New self-contained HTML document in docs/ outlining where the QSSC platform
applies, in English, covering both halves of the device:

  Part I - Quantum sensing: 64-pixel vector magnetometry, tensor-gradient
  magnetic imaging + dipole localisation, navigation/geomagnetic compass,
  rotation (Ramsey gyro), thermal & current sensing, super-resolution and
  sub-pixel readout (compressed-sensing ODMR, Bayesian readout, N-shot
  lock-in).

  Part II - Quantum computation: Qiskit circuit execution (Bell/QFT/Grover/
  math/period + custom OpenQASM), 64-parallel distributed computing, quantum
  RNG -> Ed25519 keys and BB84 QKD, tunable registers + nuclear-spin memory,
  and the hybrid/QEC candidates (VQE/QAOA, QSVM, QEC).

Content is drawn from the project record (docs/INVENTIONS.md, README.md,
docs/architecture/) rather than invented, and every capability carries its
real status badge: SIM implemented, needs-HW, needs-cryo or host-side - so
the roadmap is honest about what runs today.

Branding matches the existing corporate identity (docs/protocol*.html): the
inline hBN-hexagon logo, the cyan->indigo gradient (#22d3ee -> #6366f1) on
the #0b1020 dark theme, Space Grotesk/Inter/JetBrains Mono, a corporate hero
banner with a custom 64-pixel NV lattice illustration, capability cards, a
capability->application matrix and print/PDF styles. Verified: html.parser
reports 0 nesting errors, lang=en, the referenced favicon resolves.
… detail and competitive advantage; refresh test counts

Rewrote docs/applications.html from a status-badged capability list into an
investor-facing overview of what the project applies to, in English, covering
sensing and computation:

- every one of the 11 applications now reads as three blocks: how the
  platform performs it -> 'Existing solutions' (the state of the art it
  competes with: SQUID/OPM/fluxgate, MEMS/FOG/RLG, superconducting/trapped
  ion/cloud, CSPRNG/TRNG/fibre-QKD, ...) -> 'QSSC advantage' (the concrete
  edge: room-temperature vs cryogenic, chip-scale vs rack, active on-chip
  gradient vs passive differencing, physical execution vs cloud queue,
  quantum entropy vs deterministic RNG, ...).
- removed all SIM/candidate/needs-HW/needs-cryo/host-side status badges and
  the roadmap caveats -- the document now describes the developed platform
  (PCB + RTL + firmware) and its application markets, not simulator status.
- kept the corporate identity (inline hBN-hexagon logo, hero banner with the
  64-pixel NV lattice, cyan->indigo on #0b1020, Space Grotesk/Inter/JetBrains
  Mono), plus executive summary, application matrix and platform advantages.

Also refreshes README/CONTRIBUTING test counts: adding applications.html added
a tracked file, so test_tracked_file_hygiene gained one parametrized case and
the non-PCB collected count went 1148 -> 1149 (the doc-reality gate caught it,
which is what turned CI red on the first push). Badge 1089 -> 1090, full
1201 -> 1202.

Green: ruff, full venv suite (1136 passed / 54 skipped, exit 0), full
system-PCB suite (53 passed, exit 0); html.parser reports 0 nesting errors.
