Jagex Accounts uses a different way of logging in, so you need to use the Jagex Launcher.
Yes, both RuneLite and HDOS are automatically installed.
No, running the Jagex Launcher in Linux does not pose a security risk, all of the code is open source.
Jagex can not take responsibility for a third party project.
The Jagex Launcher runs with a compatibility layer which means it's running the same way as in Windows making it very unlikely to break.
Both RuneLite and HDOS run natively while the official RS3 and OSRS clients do not.
You can use the project and report any issues so they can be addressed. You can also contribute on GitHub to help us make improvements.
