Motivation
I have the PSVR2 PC adapter, but I still play many PS5 PSVR2 titles. Switching controllers back and forth between the PS5 and the PC is slow and tedious. Inspired by the USB quick pairing of the PS5, I experimented with a quick pairing flow using a USB cable to the PC.

With this change

  1. Plug a sense controller into your PC via USB.
  2. Watch for notification toast clearing your old pairing, and arming the auto pair on USB disconnect.
  3. Disconnect USB and do option + PS button long hold to enter pairing mode.
  4. Sense controller will auto pair within 5-10 seconds. No Windows clicks required!

Why Add to PSVR2-SteamVR-AutoLaunch?
Both features are contributing to the same goal, helping to smooth out and automate how PSVR2 runs on the PC. In a perfect world the PSVR2 PC app would sherlock both this launcher and this PR, but we do what we have to do.

Known Issues

  1. If you have notifications disabled you won't see the tool communicate with you, but it will still work, just silently.
  2. Windows Swift Pair / Bluetooth Quick Pair popup will fight with this mode's toast notifications, but it can be ignored. The pairing completes without needing to acknowledge or dismiss swift pair popup.
