cue acts as a silent assistant for your computer. It watches and listens to your meetings to give you live answers. You can use it to track notes or find information while your screen stays private. It remains hidden when you share your screen with others. You bring your own API key to connect the software to an artificial intelligence engine.
You need to download the installer from our official page.

Follow these steps to set up the software on your Windows computer:
- Visit the link above to view the list of available versions.
- Click the file that ends with .exe to save it to your computer.
- Open your Downloads folder and double-click the file you just saved.
- Windows might show a security window. If this happens, click More Info and then click Run anyway.
- Follow the prompts on your screen to finish the installation.
- Once the process completes, click the icon on your desktop to launch the assistant.
The assistant needs a way to process information. You provide this through an API key.
- Open the settings menu within the app after it launches.
- Look for the field labeled API Key.
- Paste your unique key from your chosen artificial intelligence provider into this box.
- Click Save.
- The application will now connect to the engine and wait for your input.
Once you install and configure the app, it runs in the background. It waits for you to join a meeting.
The app stays invisible to other people. If you share your screen in a meeting app like Zoom or Microsoft Teams, your viewers only see your work. They do not see the assistant overlay.
The software listens to the audio during your calls. It transcribes the conversation into text. You can see this text in the floating window. The assistant suggests relevant information based on the things people say.
All processing stays local where possible. The assistant does not record your screen for others. It only uses the visuals for the internal processing of the AI model.
If the assistant does not launch, check your computer settings.
- Ensure you use Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- Make sure your microphone is active and the application has permission to access it.
- Check that your API key remains valid and has enough credits or funds.
- Close other apps that use the microphone if the assistant struggles to hear the audio.
If the floating window disappears, look at the taskbar near the clock. Click the icon to bring the window back to the front of your screen.
- Invisible Overlay: The window stays hidden from your external meeting participants.
- Audio Analysis: The system listens to your speaker output to understand the context of the call.
- Custom Keys: You control your costs and usage by providing your own API key.
- Low Impact: The software uses minimal system resources so your computer stays fast.
- Screen Awareness: The assistant monitors your active window to provide specific help.
Does the app record my meetings? The app processes audio for your immediate benefit. It does not store recordings on a central server.
Will my boss see the assistant? No. The window exists as an overlay on your machine. Screen sharing software ignores this layer by design.
What happens if my API key fails? The assistant will pause its work. You will see a notification in the settings menu. Simply update the key to resume.
Does it work on laptops? Yes. Any computer running a modern version of Windows will support the application.
How do I hide the window? Click the minimize button in the corner of the window. You can reopen it at any time from the system tray.
