I suggest to change the default branch to dev, according to the git flow principles. This way pull requests, issues and merges are easier to handle since the master branch is only for deployment.
I just noticed there is a catch: Changing the default branch affects the default "front page" of the repository as well as the HEAD and the clone commands.. So I guess we have to keep closing the issues by ourselves?
