rk8s

A TUI tool for deploying and interacting with Redis Enterprise on Kubernetes.

This is an unofficial tool designed to help you get started with Redis Enterprise. It uses the official Redis Enterprise Kubernetes Operator.

rk8s demo

Features

Deploy Redis Enterprise

Deploy a complete Redis Enterprise stack with a single command:

  • Redis Enterprise Operator
  • Redis Enterprise Cluster (single-node, optimized for development)
  • A ready-to-use database

Discover Resources

Scan your cluster for existing Redis Enterprise deployments:

  • Find Redis Enterprise Clusters (REC) across namespaces
  • List databases (REDB) with status and memory info
  • Connect to any discovered database

Interactive Playground

Connect to databases with automatic port-forwarding:

  • REPL - Execute Redis commands with history support
  • Data Viewer - Browse keys, filter by pattern, inspect values
  • Sample Data - Load built-in datasets for testing

Installation

# From source
go install github.com/tobywilds/rk8s/cmd/rk8s@latest

# Or build locally
git clone https://github.com/tobywilds/rk8s.git
cd rk8s
go build -o rk8s ./cmd/rk8s

Quick Start
