This repository contains a snapshot of a Warden Discord bot and companion PostgreSQL database configuration. It is publicly readable for inspection and learning, but it is not a ready-to-deploy, maintained product.
Caution
Historical snapshot — unverified and not security-audited. Do not deploy directly to a production Discord server or expose its database to the internet without auditing the source, dependencies, permissions, environment configuration, and infrastructure first.

- A Discord bot written in TypeScript, using the Seyfert framework.
- Bot commands and events, including account-linking and counting-related functionality.
- PostgreSQL persistence for linking requests, linked accounts, and player records.
- Periodic cleanup of expired requests and application shutdown handling.
- Container configuration for the bot and database, with several limitations documented below.
- No confirmed compatibility matrix for supported Discord API, Node, TypeScript, Seyfert, or PostgreSQL versions.
- The checked-in bot Dockerfile and Compose need review: the Compose file references
Dockerfile(different case) and expects an external Docker network calledproxy. - There is no committed lockfile in the bot folder. Builds may not be reproducible.
- The current database Compose configuration publishes PostgreSQL port 5432 on the host, which may expose it beyond the intended boundary depending on your environment.
- The bot includes fallback database credentials in code. Configure strong environment values and remove insecure fallbacks before deployment.
Warden/readme.mdreferences the upstreamZSMP-Public/Wardenrepository. The ownership and licensing provenance of the snapshot have not been independently established. Do not assume this repository is the original project or that redistribution rights have been verified.
For full details, read Setup & security review.
For the historical setup notes, refer to bot setup and database setup. Those documents may contain outdated commands and should be read alongside the review guide.
Because dependencies have not been installed or built as part of this documentation pass, no compilation, bot login, or database integration result is claimed.
Please read CONTRIBUTING.md. Good contributions include clarifying provenance, replacing insecure defaults, making Docker setup reproducible, writing tests, and documenting supported versions.
