A newer push to a pull request now cancels the run it replaces, instead of both running to the end. One block goes into each of the five workflows that run on pull requests (audit, ci, codeql, dse-check, fuzz-quick):

concurrency:
  group: ${{ github.workflow }}-${{ github.event.pull_request.number || github.run_id }}
  cancel-in-progress: ${{ github.event_name == 'pull_request' }}
  • Pull requests: the group is the workflow plus the PR number, so a new push cancels the in-progress run for the same PR and workflow.
  • Everything else (pushes to main, the schedule, manual dispatch): the group is the run's own ID, so nothing is ever cancelled or queued. Every main commit keeps a complete result, which is what a release tag is checked against.

fuzz-miri and the two nightly fuzzers never run on pull requests, so they're unchanged.

A newer push to the same PR cancels the run it replaces, in the five workflows that
run on pull requests (audit, ci, codeql, dse-check, fuzz-quick). Runs on main, on
the schedule and by hand each get a group of their own and are never cancelled, so
every main commit keeps a complete result. fuzz-miri and the two nightly fuzzers
never run on pull requests and are unchanged.
