- SAP ERP Architecture & Foundations: Navigating the SAP GUI, understanding enterprise structures (Client, Company Code, Plant, Storage Location, Purchasing Organization), and mastering basic transaction codes (T-Codes).
- End-to-End Procurement Process: Gained hands-on exposure to the core Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle: creating Purchase Requisitions (PR), issuing Purchase Orders (PO), processing Goods Receipts (GR), and performing Invoice Verification (IV).
- Master Data Management: Working with Material Master and Vendor Master records to ensure proper data maintenance for supply chain operations.
- Enterprise Security & System Diagnostics: Basic IT troubleshooting regarding VPN access, Windows security compliance, and system credentials within a corporate IT ecosystem.
- Personal Laptop Setup: Spent the initial phase from late January through February focusing on foundational knowledge using my personal computer.
- Self-Paced Learning Modules: Completed online coursework covering general SAP ERP architectures and end-to-end business processes.
- Certifications & Badges Progress: Worked through self-study materials that laid the groundwork for earning preliminary SAP digital badges and course completion milestones provided by Accenture before transitioning to hands-on system configurations thru specialized tracks. SAP Learning modules completion for phase 1
- Onboarding & Setup: Joined my UST batchmates during the in-person laptop distribution phase at the BGC office to configure our enterprise devices, security compliances, VPN tools, and the SAP GUI installation.
- Compliance Issues: Thru March to May, a major hurdle for many of my fellow delegates was maintaining device compliance status. Several friends faced non-compliant status triggers, on which most do not understand how they got such issues.
- Resolution: My classmates pushed into raising their concern into team members and local IT support to troubleshoot to clear non-compliant flags to secure full SAP system access. Some cases took days and sometimes a few weeks, which I felt a huge hurdle into completing their weekly designated tasks.

Initial Adjustment & Routine
A little bit of shock as my first internship experience, so each day I take pretty seriously and take the respective times at least 3 hours a day. Then a matter of weeks, internship works becomes a routine that helps me lessens my nervousness. As well asking and checking up on my fellow delegates gives me a sign of relief, we do face challenges and struggles while cherishing the opportunity we had this time.
Personally I did not experience this kind of problem, I do always regularly check my accenture emails regularly weekly (and not get an inactivity status that can possibly lock out the laptop too). Made sure that I do not miss any requirements mentioned by the accenture HRs as well from our mentions before a mentioned deadline.
Configuration was a matter of following instructions, understand those clear and you can go flow smoothly to complete the config process.
- Track Specialization: Officially transitioned into the specialized SAP Material Management (MM) track, executing real-world enterprise scenarios on our newly configured enterprise laptops.
- Live Bootcamp Sessions: Participated in fully remote, mentor-led bootcamp discussions and deep dives focused on procurement workflows, inventory management, and system navigation.
- Hands-On Configuration: Applied theoretical knowledge directly in the SAP GUI, practicing core transaction codes and end-to-end supply chain processes under guidance from mentors.

That one time when I thought we were already done with configuring our working laptops, turns out it was not confirming when we were on the ground already so we decided to not turn back. SO unfortunately, the following week I have to go back in BGC to comply to complete the config process.
The SAP GUI guides us thru a series of modules, whereas most modules involves after reading have a short quiz or enumeration of the correct sequential steps (ranging from 4-7 steps) on which can be sometimes feel repetetive but that is what we have should been used to, to execute commands you feel like a muscle memory without any hesitations on mind. Sometimes short quizzes can be brute forced as well, tough reading is valuable as knowledge I retain can be applied in future ahead in my career.
The instruction PDFs involves above shows how to make a specific process, easy to understand and you just have to follow the order it was mentioned. Other details in PDF files also includes background of the specific topic currently focused on. Doing these takes a while, a challenging cycle which can be worthwile once you get used to these.

Smart Note Taking Strategy
When some of the process are done, they provide a number from the concluded transaction, which is needed for the next transaction process. Thus, as we are practicing, we are told to always save the IDs at least in a notepad or any place we can remember. Altough sometimes forgetting you have to save, there was no worry as our mentors taught us still a way on where to find the recent transactions ID details.

Connection Stability Alert
A smooth internet connection is required in order to continue with the SAP GUI, as I was doing the modules in school there are times my connections is getting interrupted due to weak signal around the UST Buenavides library. I just wanted to get more tasks done, tough I can also preferably do in home so I won't experience any problems like the picture above. Just one weak signal, a pop-up immediately closes that is irreversible to close the whole SAP GUI progress you are currently having.
Sir Bembol and Sir JM, as our SCM track advisers are very accomodating and patient into answering our inquiries in the bootcamp phase. They do really persuade us to focus on what they are teaching, the steps what we can say is intricate for us who has just recently tried SAP they did execute flawlessly. Even them can make them mistakes on process, but what makes them good really comes with the way they test and debug what is going on, and still able to explain to us what they have shouldn't and should have do. Countless recitations, of course our number could be counted by hand (always around 10) so there is been high familiarity between us. Honestly I was one of the most called students hahaha, Sir Bembol always do remember me I'll miss him. (thankfully he deserved going to better opportunities now outside from Accenture, proud of Sir!)
We delegates were bound to help each other as our mentors says, even if we get done first, we should help those who are behind because you are working as a team that each one do understand their team's current project progress and able to comprehend and explain their concerns from peers to the clients.
Almost close to no issues regards to laptop, just that one time I lose my charger in UST library once, and I have to resort to alternatives such as thunderbolt charger that works (charges slowly, but enough voltage to increase the percentage) for weeks then of course I have to buy a charger to avoid lose peripheral fees. I have to go Gilmore to ensure I can buy one, got a deal worth 900 bye money. Thankfully, the new laptop charger was accepted on my returning of laptop, then by then become finally done with the internship with Accenture.
- Weekly Progress Reports (WPR): Documented weekly output, total rendered hours, completed SAP Learning modules, and transaction execution logs into standardized Work Progress Report templates.
- Mentor Review & Verification: Progress reports were regularly submitted to our track mentors (Sir Bembol and Sir JM) to verify course completion badges, validate SAP GUI practice transaction IDs, and ensure alignment with the required internship hours.
- Performance Checkpoints: Periodic reviews served as verification steps before advancing to complex SAP MM configuration exercises and allowed mentors to identify delegates who needed extra assistance or system troubleshooting.

- Material Master & Vendor Master Data: Maintained master records for direct materials, consumable goods, and service items. Understood enterprise hierarchies by mapping parameters to Company Codes, Plants, Storage Locations, and Purchasing Organizations.
- Procurement Cycle (Procure-to-Pay): Practiced the sequential execution of the core procurement workflow in the SAP GUI, raising Purchase Requisitions (PR) and converting them into Purchase Orders (PO) while tracking transaction IDs across sessions.

- Specialized Procurement & Analytics: Explored advanced modules covering subcontracting, supplier consignment, service purchasing, sourcing contracts, and cloud procurement analytics on SAP S/4HANA.
- Session Drops & Lost GUI Data: Network drops at the UST library frequently severed active SAP GUI server connections, force-closing open transaction windows. Solved this by adopting structured ID logging in local text files and learning SAP lookup methods to retrieve prior transaction IDs without redoing prerequisite steps.
- Sequential Error Debugging: Experienced step-mismatch errors during live bootcamp recitations. Learned directly from mentors how to trace system diagnostic messages, verify organizational units, and fix input values rather than restarting workflows.
- Hardware & Compliance Recovery: Resolved an unexpected BGC office trip requirement for enterprise laptop configuration compliance and managed hardware losses independently by sourcing a compliant charger at Gilmore to avoid peripheral penalty fees upon laptop return.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Built strong peer support networks with fellow UST delegates and the "4CSE gang," establishing daily check-ins to troubleshoot device compliance issues, share instruction notes, and assist trailing peers.
- Problem-Solving & System Diagnostics: Shifted from rote execution to critical thinking by watching mentors test and debug errors live during bootcamp sessions, adopting structured troubleshooting for GUI parameter mismatches.
- Communication & Technical Presentations: Built confidence during frequent mentor recitations and live presentation sessions, culminating in successfully executing and explaining the end-to-end P2P cycle during the final live demo.

Key Lessons Learned:
- Team Accountability: Software implementation and consulting are team efforts—a project's success relies on every member understanding the overall progress and helping peers resolve bottlenecks.
- Operational Precision: In enterprise software, details matter. Meticulous documentation, systematic note-taking (saving transaction IDs), and understanding why a step is executed build long-term retention over simple rote completion.
- Adaptability: Navigating sudden hardware compliance hurdles, VPN drops, and remote learning required resilience and proactive time management.

Our final task after completion of self-paced modules as well the bootcamp discussions, we have to live demonstrate to our mentors Sir Bembol and Sir Jemuel the four core basic processes in SAP MM (Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Goods Receipt, and Invoice Verification).
Was a little nervous, as I was one of the first ones to do the demo, I was trying my best to remain executing the right processes and commands, and thankfully we persevered hahaha, and what we left was to support my fellow delegates into completing their demos too.
