SRVfix

English

  • Minecraft 1.7.10 / Forge 10.13.4.1614
  • Minecraft 1.8.9 / Forge 11.15.1.2318
  • Java 8

(Get-FileHash .\SRVfix-1.8.9-1.0.0.jar -Algorithm SHA256).Hash

设置 JAVA8_HOME 或 JAVA_HOME 后执行:

.\build.bat

所有构建产物写入 .target/build/。

.\build.bat release

再将暂存区发布到交付区 .target/installer/1.7.10 / .target/installer/1.8.9(原子交换 + .target/delivery.json 溯源记录):

.\deliver.ps1

Push-Location forge-1.7.10; .\gradlew.bat liveSrvProbe; Pop-Location
Push-Location forge-1.8.9; .\gradlew.bat liveSrvProbe; Pop-Location

SRVfix

English

SRVfix is a client-side Forge mod that recovers Minecraft SRV lookups when a Java 8 runtime exposes malformed entries in the system DNS server list.

The mod uses only DNS servers already configured by the operating system. It does not add a public resolver or modify DNS, hosts, adapter, launcher, or JVM settings.

It applies to the Multiplayer server list, server-list connections, and Direct Connect. Minecraft Realms uses a separate address path and is intentionally not modified. SRVfix has no configuration, GUI, chat messages, or generated files.

Supported Versions

  • Minecraft 1.7.10 / Forge 10.13.4.1614
  • Minecraft 1.8.9 / Forge 11.15.1.2318
  • Java 8

Other Forge builds for the same Minecraft versions and newer Java runtimes are best-effort only.

Install

Download the JAR matching your Minecraft version from the Releases page and place it in the client mods directory. No configuration or dependency mod is required. Servers do not need SRVfix.

Verifying Downloads

Every release asset ships a matching .sha256 checksum file. To verify in PowerShell:

(Get-FileHash .\SRVfix-1.8.9-1.0.0.jar -Algorithm SHA256).Hash

Compare the output with the contents of the corresponding .sha256 file.

Build

A full JDK 8 is required because the legacy ForgeGradle versions do not run on modern Java. Set JAVA8_HOME or JAVA_HOME, then run:

.\build.bat

The local .toolchains directory is ignored and may contain a portable JDK 8.

The build runs deterministic resolver and transformer tests, reobfuscates the two JARs, and verifies their manifests, Java 8 class versions, and dependency contents. All build output lands under .target/build/. To package both verified JARs and their SHA-256 files into the release scratch .target/release-out/, run:

.\build.bat release

Then publish the scratch into the delivery area .target/installer/1.7.10 / .target/installer/1.8.9 (atomic swap + provenance record in .target/delivery.json):

.\deliver.ps1

For a live DNS acceptance check on the four tracked domains, run the matching version task:

Push-Location forge-1.7.10; .\gradlew.bat liveSrvProbe; Pop-Location
Push-Location forge-1.8.9; .\gradlew.bat liveSrvProbe; Pop-Location
