KMS-Tools-Desktop-2026 is a Windows x64 desktop application that provides a suite of utilities for software activation, including KMS-based activation, key generation, and license management. The tool is designed to operate on Windows 11 x64 systems and consolidates activation and license-handling functions into a single interface. It targets users who require deterministic, locally executed activation workflows rather than script-based or manual configuration. All operations run within the desktop environment, and the application is distributed as a self-contained installer package.
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- PowerShell 5.1 or newer (already available on Windows)
- Active network connection
- No admin rights needed
- Executes KMS-based activation workflows for supported Windows editions and Microsoft Office product versions through a local desktop interface.
- Manages KMS server entries, including adding, replacing, and removing host configurations used during the activation process.
- Provides license state inspection, reporting the current activation status, license channel, and remaining validity period for installed products.
- Includes backup and restore routines for activation-related license data, allowing the prior state to be preserved and reapplied.
- Supports conversion of Retail channel licenses to Volume channel editions where the target product permits it.
- Bundles key management utilities for entering, viewing, and clearing product keys associated with installed components.
- Reports operation results with per-step status output, distinguishing successful actions from failed or skipped steps.
- Runs as a self-contained desktop application for Windows 11 x64 without requiring a separate runtime installation.
KMS-Tools-Desktop-2026 operates as a local desktop application that coordinates software activation workflows on the host Windows machine. The application does not perform remote attestation; instead, it configures the operating system and installed Office products to communicate with a Key Management Service (KMS) host, either a user-specified server or a locally emulated endpoint.
Activation flow proceeds in discrete stages. First, the tool enumerates installed Windows and Office products and reads their current licensing channel and edition. Products on Retail channels are flagged for conversion, since KMS activation requires Volume licensing. Second, the application installs the appropriate Generic Volume License Key (GVLK) for the detected product edition, replacing the existing product key at the operating system level. Third, it registers the KMS host address and port in the system's licensing configuration and triggers the activation request. The KMS client then contacts the configured host, and the host returns an activation response that the client stores locally.
The built-in local KMS emulator handles activation requests when no external KMS host is available. It listens on the standard KMS port, validates incoming client requests against product-specific requirements, and issues activation responses with the standard 180-day validity period. Renewal occurs automatically when the client re-contacts the host before expiry. The emulator runs as a background service scoped to the local machine and does not forward requests to external infrastructure.
License management functions operate on the local licensing store. Backup exports the current activation state and product key data to a user-selected location; restoration writes a previously captured state back to the system. Edition conversion rewrites the licensing channel from Retail to Volume and applies the matching GVLK, after which the product can be activated through the KMS path.
All operations require administrator privileges because they modify system licensing configuration and, in the emulator case, register a local network service. The application reports per-product status — licensed channel, activation state, remaining validity, and last error code — after each operation, allowing verification of results without external tooling. No activation data is transmitted beyond the configured KMS endpoint.
KMS-Tools-Desktop-2026 operates entirely on the local machine. No telemetry, analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics are collected, transmitted, or stored by the application. The tool does not require an account, registration, or any form of online identity to function.
All activation operations, license key generation, and KMS server communication occur between the local host and the endpoint you configure. The application does not route traffic through intermediary servers operated by the project, and it does not log activation requests, generated keys, or license data to any remote destination. Any KMS traffic initiated by the tool is directed solely to the address you specify.
Configuration files, logs, and license backups created by the application are written to local paths on your system. These artifacts remain under your control and are not synchronized, uploaded, or shared by the software. The application does not read files outside the directories required for its stated activation and license-management functions, and it does not inspect unrelated user data, browsing activity, or system content.
The tool does not bundle third-party analytics SDKs, advertising components, or background network services. No hidden processes persist after the application exits. Network access, where required for KMS operations, is limited to the protocol interactions necessary to complete activation requests against the endpoint you provide.
Because the application runs with the privileges you grant it, review any configuration that points to external KMS hosts before execution. Privacy guarantees described here apply to the software itself; the handling of data by any KMS endpoint you choose to contact is outside the scope of this project.

This suite performs KMS emulation and license management operations that modify system activation state, registry entries, and licensing configuration. Such operations may conflict with the terms of service of the affected software vendors and may violate applicable licensing agreements or local regulations. Users are solely responsible for determining whether their use of this tool complies with the laws and agreements that apply to them. The project does not condone or encourage circumvention of software licensing.
KMS-Tools-Desktop-2026 requires administrator privileges and modifies system-level components. Incorrect or interrupted operations, including partial activation, license conversion, or server reconfiguration, may render an installation non-functional or require reinstallation of the affected operating system or application. Back up activation state and system configuration before use; backup and restoration utilities are included for this purpose but are not a substitute for independent backups.
The software is intended for evaluation, testing, and educational purposes in controlled environments. No guarantee is made regarding compatibility with any specific build, edition, or update channel of the target platforms, and behavior may change without notice as vendor activation mechanisms evolve. The maintainers do not distribute, host, or provide license keys, product keys, or activation credentials.
No data is collected, transmitted, or retained by this application; all operations execute locally on the user's machine. Any network communication is limited to the KMS endpoints configured by the user. By using KMS-Tools-Desktop-2026, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer and accept full responsibility for your use of the software.
