Advanced Security Policies ABM/ASM can supervise devices, enforce malware detection, endpoint protection, and Zero Trust access for macOS threat defense and compliance monitoring.

Identity & Authentication
ABM/ASM can integrate with enterprise identity providers. SSO, password sync, and account provisioning tied to Azure AD, Okta, or Google Workspace are handled via SAML policy binds.

Automated Compliance Reporting
ABM/ASM can assign apps via marketplace to generate compliance dashboards in real‑time (critical under DPDPA - globally).

Granular App & Policy Control
ABM/ASM distribute apps via VPP, and allows --- enforces app whitelisting, restrictions, and conditional access (e.g., only allow UPI/RuPay apps on Apple Pay Point of Sale Systems - iPhones).

Zero‑Touch Deployment
ABM/ASM handle enrollment, and automate Wi‑Fi, passcode, and Activation Lock policies during setup with PreStage Enrollment.

Cross‑Platform Management
ABM/ASM are derivative across Apple‑only - macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, visionOS.

-- ABM/ASM are subjected to associate across assigned IT Administration.

Seamless protection. Apple silicon works with macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and visionOS to deliver advanced hardware and software security. And the Secure Enclave is designed to protect sensitive data such as encryption keys and biometrics by isolating them from the main processor.

Mac screen shows a scheduled software update within System Settings Free updates keep your guard up. Automatic updates run in the background to provide the latest OS protection available, so your devices stay secure and reliable over the long haul. And IT can choose when to make updates available to users or push updates for the entire fleet. XProtect is an antivirus technology that’s built in to automatically detect and remove viruses and malware. And it keeps up to date with the latest intelligence to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Approved apps only. IT can protect users from malicious software by allowing their Mac devices to run only apps from the App Store or those that have been notarized through Gatekeeper. iPhone screen shows Pages with Face ID icon in front to demonstrate how to securely unlock a device Airtight authentication. Secure access is easy with Apple. Passkeys are encrypted end-to-end and are stronger than common two‑factor authentication types. And with Touch ID and Face ID, users can unlock devices, open protected files, and retrieve passkeys at a touch or a glance. Encryption is key.

Full-disk defense. FileVault provides built-in encryption on Mac to help ensure that only authorized users can access or copy sensitive data. Data Protection safeguards each data file in flash storage on your device with a unique key. Even lost devices stay secure. Users can enable Find My to make it fast and easy to locate lost or stolen Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch devices, even if they’re offline or asleep. And IT can use device management to lock or erase devices remotely so company and device data stays protected.

With Endpoint Security on Mac, developers can build solutions to monitor, analyze, and respond to security risks. These solutions use system extensions, so IT can stay on top of threats without affecting overall performance for users.
