Alpha channel for transparency?

I noticed on export, the only format is MP4. I wonder if it's possible to export a format that supports an alpha channel for transparency. I don't think there's a way to make an MP4 transparent?

I don't know if such a format exists, that being said it is not the first time a user asks for that feature. So I have created an issue on the rewrite for that: Picorims/wav2bar-reborn#170

Hi, yes, those formats do exist. But after some thought, I don't think I'm going to be matching my audio to real waveform action.. I'm starting an AI podcast channel on youtube, and after looking at others, I realized, they're just taking a video clip, and looping it, no one is looking to see if the waveform matches the speakers. It's a cool piece of software though. I was surprised to see the feature doesn't exist in my video editing software

Yes, some music players and apps with audio messages use fake waveforms. It's all just embellishment. But that's part of why I maintain it right now, I enjoy it but it's not very common in classical software while specialized software can be expensive or trap you into templates. You have software like blender which can do crazy stuff but with months (or years) of technical practice and learning needed.

To come back to the issue, I'll keep it open (this one will be closed once the rewrite is released but it'll stay open on the new repo). Because as I said it was asked a few times by mail and on Discord so if the discussion can be centralized it is better.
