See also #92.

Missing:

  • Package nwg-menu: graphical launcher
  • Package rot8: automatically rotate output based on acceleration events
  • Add icon system-reboot for nwg-menu or use another theme like Papirus
  • Test pipeline
  • Test result: I've been using a manual setup that I copied together from my arch linux installation
  • lisgd configuration: add support for 2-finger panels. At the moment only 3 and 4 finger gestures are configured, which work with my own PineNote and the newest batch
  • Adjust sizes and styles

I don't have time to test this or look into packaging nwg-menu and rot8 -- I would appreciate if someone else (not Maximilian) would look into this. I use Arch Linux as my daily driver, so this setup is mostly intended to make sway-based setups more accessible by newcomers.

I haven't tested this pipeline as I am not familiar with github actions yet. Testing and potential fixes are greatly appreciated.

The sway and waybar configurations were originally based on https://github.com/0cc4m/pinenote-misc -- thanks for sharing that one early in the process.

Ideally the scripts should be packaged and be selectively added to /usr/bin or $HOME, as e.g. gestures and the menu configuration are usually editable by each user.

Concerning the lack of >2 finger input on most older PineNotes: I'd appreciate if somebody could dump their touch controller's configuration and sensing data using the kernel referenced in #90 (comment). If it turns out that the two batches use the same touch controller firmware and only differ in configuration, flashing a compatible configuration to achieve 10-finger touch input on older devices becomes straightforward.
