fix(script-runner): cancelling open_bucket_dialog in python - #4175
remove json.loads from open_bucket_dialog python handler code
read script completion state into ScriptRunner, if present
do script status model cleanup if not complete, rather than not stopped
Why it changed
cancelling open_bucket_dialog dialog in a python script crashed the script; Ruby did not attempt to parse string as JSON
the script state moved to completed (only "Start" button present) but the "waiting #s" was still displaying in UI
some scripts were showing in running UI, but persisting after "stop" was clicked
Testing strategy
new playwright tests for cancelling dialogs, separate from happy path tests
new ruby controller test
manual testing

Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Script completion events now update the displayed state when they include a state value; events without one leave the current display unchanged.
Completion clears the waiting timer, including when completion occurs outside the usual output-processing path.
Stopping a script marks it as killed only if it has not already completed, preserves an existing end time, and refreshes its status after stop attempts.
Bucket-dialog answers are passed to scripts without additional string decoding.
Documentation
Clarified that canceling a prompt pauses script execution without returning a value; selecting Go displays the prompt again.

Walkthrough
The changes update displayed script state from completion events, adjust delete handling for script status and end time, assign bucket-dialog answers directly, and expand prompt tests and cancellation documentation for Ruby and Python.
Changes: Script lifecycle state

Summary
Delete handling and status updates openc3-cosmos-script-runner-api/app/controllers/running_script_controller.rb, openc3-cosmos-script-runner-api/spec/controllers/running_script_controller_spec.rb
The delete action re-fetches script status and updates incomplete scripts to killed. It sets end_time only when that value is unset. Specs cover missing processes and completed scripts.
Completion clears the waiting timer. If a completion event includes a state, the handler updates the displayed state.

Summary
Prompt responses and cross-language coverage openc3-cosmos-script-runner-api/scripts/run_script.py, playwright/tests/script-runner/prompts.p.spec.ts
Bucket-dialog responses use the answer value directly. Parameterized tests cover Ruby and Python prompt inputs, conversions, and selection dialogs.
Cancellation and resume behavior playwright/tests/script-runner/prompts.p.spec.ts, docs.openc3.com/docs/guides/scripting-api.md
Tests cover cancellation, prompt redisplay after Go, and stopping after a second cancellation. The guide documents the pause-and-redisplay behavior for prompt APIs.
File dialogs and output assertions playwright/tests/script-runner/prompts.p.spec.ts
File-dialog tests use a shared chooser helper. Prompt, file-dialog, hazardous-command, range-error, and syntax-error tests use a shared output assertion helper.
OpenC3/cosmos#4168: Preserves the state field in replayed complete events, which the UI now uses to update displayed script state.

- Call clearWaiting() in scriptComplete(): the 'complete' message sets a
terminal state without going through processLine(), leaving the
interval running after the script ends
- Add controller spec covering the re-fetch in delete, where the process
completes itself while being stopped
- Use an f-string in the Python print helper so the prompt tests are
detected as Python instead of relying on the default language setting
- Fix "create new a new one" typo in metadata_input docs

Cancellation tests stop after the second Cancel and never submit an answer after Go.
The canceling prompts loop covers reopen only. Each case cancels, clicks Go, checks the dialog title, cancels again, presses Stop, and expects stopped. No case submits an answer after Go, and no case expects the script to reach completed or to print the returned value. A regression that re-displays the dialog on Go but drops the answer, or does not resume the script, would still pass these tests.
The happy-path tests use scriptWithDialogCompletes, which asserts completed and the returned output. They never cancel or reopen the dialog, so they do not cover the reopen-then-submit path.
Suggested direction: after the Go click, submit the dialog with its normal action, then assert completed and the expected output. This matches the scriptWithDialogCompletes pattern. Each method needs its own submit action, so the change is per-case and needs the dialog controls for each method.
