Summary

  • reorganise the visual editor around Content, Structure, and Page workflows
  • open a persistent selected-element inspector with Content, Design, and Advanced tabs
  • add contextual section selection, move, add, delete, and settings controls while preserving source-safe review and commit
  • retain the focused mobile picker and accessibility behavior

Validation

  • npm run test:all (42 unit tests and 9 Playwright suites green)
  • visual checks for selected heading and selected section states

Superseded by #15: the ui/progressive-chrome line carries every commit of this candidate (2f31520 is in its history) plus the Beta 6 feature set (zero-step editing, in-place editing, lock explanations, session restore, converging save recovery). Closing per the single-writer release rule; nothing from this branch is lost.
